Join our "Coral Reef Restoration Program" for a unique marine conservation experience. Dive into marine research, gain Scuba Diver certification, explore Mayan ruins, and contribute to coral reef restoration efforts in the Akumal Fish Refuge in Mexico's Caribbean coast.

Program Overview

Join a team of marine conservation experts participating in the "Coral Reef Restoration Program” along the Caribbean coast of Mexico.

 

This unique initiative offers participants the opportunity to engage in marine research projects, obtain Scuba Diver certification, and discover ancient Mayan ruins and cenotes.

 

Undergo Open Water Diver training with Akumal Dive Center, becoming a research assistant at Centro Ecologico Akumal.

 

Focus on reef ecosystem restoration within the Akumal Fish Refuge, actively participating in coral rehabilitation and maintaining coral nurseries.

 

Contribute to the preservation of the Akumal coral reef, experiencing firsthand the successful restoration efforts with an impressive 90% survival rate.
