“My experience in Yanacocha was nothing short of fantastic and eye opening, I learned far more than I ever thought I would on an animal reserve. I loved every moment of my stay there with NOA Adventures, it was a genuine pleasure to work not only with the animals, but the people there as well! During my time at Yanacocha I discovered that a lot of the animals brought in have to spend a significant amount of time in quarantine in order to make sure they won’t infect the other animals with a disease. I also learned that depending on how long an animal has been outside its natural habitat, it may be unable to return to that habitat. These animals instead have to spend the rest of their lives in semi-captivity. Thanks to NOA I was able to have this amazing experience among countless others throughout my stay in Ecuador, it was truly a once in a lifetime experience and I deeply enjoyed it."
